The recurring hum began subtly, a low thrumming beneath the surface of my everyday awareness. It wasn’t a sound heard by the ears, but rather felt, a vibration that resonated deep within my bones, a phantom echo of the symbol that had become an obsession. Arthur’s words, when I finally managed to track him down again, were delivered with a quiet intensity that belied the enormity of his pronouncements. He spoke of resonance, of frequencies, of a universe that sang in a celestial symphony, each note a ripple, each chord a cosmic event.

“You feel it, don’t you?” he’d asked, his gaze piercing, as if he could see the tremor running through me. They called it the ‘Great Harmony,’ the ‘Cosmic Song.’ They understood that the universe wasn’t just matter and energy, but a vast, interconnected web of vibrations. And consciousness,” he’d leaned closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, “is the tuner. It’s what allows us to perceive and, more importantly, to *influence* that song.”
