The air grew heavy, thick with the weight of forgotten ages, as Elara, Master Eldrin, and Pip stepped through the crumbling archway. Before them lay the ruins, not of a single structure, but of a city swallowed by time. Twisted stone columns, resembling petrified trees, clawed at the bruised twilight sky. Walls, etched with symbols Elara vaguely recognized from Master Eldrin’s scrolls, sagged like weary shoulders. A chill, colder than any mountain breeze, snaked through the air, carrying with it a symphony of faint, disembodied whispers.

The whispers seemed to coalesce around her, a cacophony of forgotten voices murmuring in a language just beyond her grasp. They spoke of beginnings and endings, of paths taken and paths untaken, of choices that echoed through eternity. It was unnerving, like standing in the center of a thousand hushed conversations, none of which were meant for her ears.
