Chapter 12
Cuddle Time
Tired from playing, Snowy and Starry cuddle up on the sofa between Mary and Luna. The girls gently stroke their soft fur, enjoying the quiet warmth of their new feline friends.
My heart did a little flip-flop in my chest as I heard the doorbell ring. Luna! She was finally here! I smoothed down my dress, my black hair bouncing around my shoulders, and raced to the door, my black eyes sparkling with excitement. Through the door’s little window, I could see Luna’s bright smile and her long, brown hair. But wait, there was something else! Two fluffy bundles of white were tucked into her arms. Snowy and Starry!
"Luna!" I shouted, flinging the door open wide.
Luna giggled, her blue eyes twinkling. "Mary! I'm here!" She stepped inside, holding Snowy, her big white cat, close. Next to her, a tiny white kitten, Starry, wiggled in her arms, her little pink nose twitching.
