Sheng's Silly Secret
They finally find Sheng, not kidnapped, but living amongst peculiar, fluffy creatures. She's adopted a strange new hobby and seems reluctant to return, much to Lin and Feng's indignant surprise.
Lin and Feng, armed with nothing more than their considerable indignation and a hastily packed picnic basket (mostly just cheese and a single, slightly bruised apple), marched into the Whispering Woods. The trees, usually so full of playful secrets and rustling gossip, seemed to hold their breath as the two friends passed. Normally, the woods would have greeted them with a chorus of giggles and a shower of dandelion fluff, but today, the air was thick with their mounting fury.
"I swear, Feng," Lin huffed, swatting away a particularly enthusiastic cobweb that dared to cling to her perfectly coiffed hair, "if Sheng is off having a tea party with those… those *fluff-bunnies* again, I'm going to… I don't even know what I'm going to do! But it will involve a lot of yelling."
Feng, ever the pragmatist when not actively plotting revenge, adjusted the slightly lopsided flower crown she’d hastily woven. "We don't even know if they *are* fluff-bunnies, Lin. The map the old gnome gave us was… smudged. It could have been fluffy squirrels. Or particularly hairy mushrooms."
