She was a paradox, a living testament to the power of transformation, and in that moment, she was our greatest weapon.
“They’re pushing through the northern pass,” she stated, her voice steady, betraying none of the internal turmoil that I knew must be raging within her. “The King of the Shadow Realm is leading the charge. He’s using his shadow hounds; they can scent fear from miles away, and they’re drawn to it like moths to a flame.”
