Pip's Pounce, Barnaby's Plan

Pip's agility is put to the test as she dodges Bartholomew's swipes. Barnaby notices Bartholomew loves shiny pebbles. He devises a plan to lure the badger away with a trail of sparkling stones.

The air in the Whispering Woods grew thick with a low, rumbling growl. Pip, with her fur bristling like a startled dandelion, skittered back, her emerald eyes wide. Barnaby, though his tail gave a nervous little thump against the mossy ground, stood his ground, his big green eyes fixed on the source of the sound. Bartholomew the badger, a formidable mound of grey and black fur, emerged from his den, his snout twitching and his eyes narrowed into slits.

"You two! What are you doing here?" Bartholomew grumbled, his voice like stones tumbling down a hill. "This is my patch! No trespassers allowed!"

Pip, ever the quick thinker, darted to the side, her lithe body a blur of ginger. Bartholomew lunged, his claws extending like tiny daggers, but Pip was too fast. She leaped onto a low-hanging branch, her tiny paws barely making a sound, and peered down at the grumpy badger.
