The air in my small room seemed to hum with a new energy, a subtle vibration that had begun to permeate the space since I truly started to *listen*. It wasn't just the rustle of the cards as I shuffled them, or the quiet sigh of the paper against the worn velvet of the cloth. It was deeper, a resonance that felt like a forgotten melody stirring in the depths of my soul. The symbols, once a bewildering tapestry of cryptic images, were slowly, almost imperceptibly, beginning to soften their edges. They were no longer foreign hieroglyphs etched onto ancient parchment, but rather reflections, distorted perhaps, yet undeniably mine.

I remembered the terror of those first few weeks, the paralysis that seized me when faced with the seemingly insurmountable wall of meaning. The High Priestess, with her veiled secrets, had felt like a gatekeeper I was utterly unqualified to approach. The Hierophant’s pronouncements had seemed to echo with an authority I couldn't grasp. But now, as I laid out a simple three-card spread for myself – Past, Present, Future – something shifted.
