We were here, sprawled out before us like a half-finished tapestry, all muted greens and greys, a stark contrast to the vibrant, if empty, hues of Agenda. The initial surge of triumph, the breathless wonder of solid ground beneath our weary feet, had long since evaporated, leaving behind a residue of something far less pleasant: doubt. It clung to Keller like the damp sea air, a chill that seeped into his very bones.

"It's... different," he said, his voice barely a whisper, the words swallowed by the distant sigh of the waves. He’d expected a fanfare, a welcoming committee, perhaps even a parade. Instead, there was only the relentless murmur of the sea and the rustle of unseen things in the overgrown hedges that bordered the track leading away from the beach. Agenda had been a land of quiet, but this… this was a different kind of quiet. A heavier, more watchful silence.

Kelly, ever observant, simply nodded, her small hand tight in his. Her eyes, usually wide with curiosity, were narrowed, scanning the unfamiliar landscape with an intensity that mirrored his own growing unease. She didn't voice her thoughts, but Keller felt her silent agreement. This wasn't the grand adventure he'd spun for her, not the escape he’d promised. It was just… more of the same, only colder.
