The air thrummed with an unnatural energy, a discordant symphony of synthesized drums and wailing guitar solos that vibrated through the very bones of the earth. Outside Malakor's ostentatious, obsidian lair, a spectacle of prehistoric pandemonium was unfolding. The plan, hatched amidst a flurry of frantic whispers and determined squeaks, was finally in motion. Dr. Aris Thorne, looking remarkably like a man forced to attend a mandatory office party, hunched over a jury-rigged sound system, his fingers flying across a battered laptop. Beside him, Rexy Sterling, draped in a sequined jumpsuit that somehow remained pristine despite the surrounding chaos, adjusted a pair of oversized, diamond-encrusted headphones, her expression a carefully cultivated blend of concern and anticipation. And then there was Nibbles, perched atop a salvaged boombox, his tiny paws busily manipulating a dial with the precision of a seasoned DJ.

The first wave of sonic warfare was unleashed: Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” The sheer, unadulterated melodrama of it all hit the charging herd of parasaurolophuses like a physical blow. Their usual synchronized honking faltered, replaced by bewildered squawks. One particularly enthusiastic specimen, mid-stride, tripped over its own feet, its long crest flopping comically in the dust.

“Oh, darling, it’s just *divine*!” Rexy exclaimed, her voice a low purr that barely registered over the cascading power chords. “The sheer *emotionality* of it all! It’s like a live performance, but with more teeth.”
