Realizing they are outmatched, Leo and Whisker make a hasty retreat. Their flight from the seemingly invincible monster is a testament to their survival instincts, though a bit embarrassing.
Leo and Whisker did not hesitate. The moment the colossal, swirling nebula of scales and starlight that was the Galaxy Turtle unleashed another blinding spark, they turned and bolted. It wasn’t bravery that propelled them, but a primal, gut-wrenching fear that had roots far deeper than any logical assessment of the situation. They had squared off against monsters before, wrestled with the unpredictable nature of the portals, and even faced down creatures that defied comprehension. But this… this was different. This was an entity so vast, so utterly alien, that the very concept of defeating it seemed laughable.
“Faster, Whisker!” Leo gasped, his lungs burning as he scrambled over jagged, obsidian rocks. The ground beneath them vibrated with the colossal beast’s slow, deliberate movements. Each step it took was an earthquake, each breath a gust of cosmic wind.
Whisker, surprisingly, kept pace, her lithe form a blur against the backdrop of a sky that pulsed with bruised purples and sickly greens. Her usual confident meow was replaced by a series of sharp, urgent chirps. She darted ahead, weaving through a maze of crystalline structures that seemed to hum with latent energy, always looking back to ensure Leo was still with her.
