The air in the prince’s chambers hung heavy, thick with the scent of unfamiliar herbs and unspoken anxieties. Bianca traced the intricate patterns on the silken tapestry with a restless finger, the vibrant threads a stark contrast to the gnawing darkness that had settled in her heart. Revenge. The word was a bitter taste on her tongue, a potent elixir she was beginning to crave with a terrifying intensity. She saw the faces of her classmates, their wide, terrified eyes as the Shadow Entity had ripped through their fragile peace. She remembered the chilling whisper of its presence, the way it had seemed to feed on their fear. And for that, it had to pay.
“They took so much from us,” she murmured, her voice barely a breath against the silence. “They… it… deserves to suffer.”
Prince Arion stood by the arched window, his profile etched against the soft glow of Lumina’s twin moons. His white robes seemed to absorb the light, making him appear both ethereal and grounded, a paradox that had begun to define his presence in her life. He turned, his gaze, usually so serene, held a flicker of concern.
