Sunlight, filtered through stained-glass windows depicting celestial beings and forgotten battles, cast ethereal patterns across Bianca’s face as she traced the faded script of a brittle scroll. Beside her, the Prince, his silver eyes reflecting the diffused light, offered a quiet presence, his hand occasionally hovering near hers as if to offer silent reassurance. The weight of the white robes, now a familiar second skin, seemed to press down on Bianca, not with discomfort, but with the accumulated history of the people who had worn them.

“These writings speak of the ‘Veiled Ones’,” Bianca murmured, her voice a hushed reverence. “They were the first inhabitants of this realm, before even the Lumina were founded. They wielded a power… a connection to the very essence of life, or so it seems.”

The Prince nodded, his gaze fixed on the intricate symbols. “The Lumina were descendants, or perhaps apprentices, of the Veiled Ones. Our lineage traces back to their wisdom, their understanding of the cosmic currents. But something happened. A schism, a fall.”
