Under the stars, Adam completes his final night of training with David and Ally, learning to channel true love's energy as a defense. Grandmother's voice reassures him that no prince's soul is ever truly lost. As dawn breaks, the family portals to the Valley of Whispers, where the Silent One's followers attack with restraint magic, but Adam's prepared shield deflects them. The family defeats the attackers, and the Silent One appears—black-haired, ghostly white bark-like skin, and an evil aura—before vanishing into mist, hinting that the true battle has not yet begun.
The stars blazed overhead as David Conners circled Adam in the sacred grove. The night air carried the scent of damp earth and crushed grass. Ally stood at the edge of the training circle, her green eyes tracking every movement. Kael and Eve waited in silence, their wands ready.
“Again,” David said, his voice low and steady.
Adam wiped sweat from his brow and settled into a defensive stance. David feinted left, then struck right. Adam twisted, the vampire’s hand grazing his ribs. He countered with a telekinetic push that made David skid back a step.
