Cervina’s ears shot forward as Jeremy pressed against her, his kiss feral and desperate. He was shaking, vulnerable. Her tail went rigid behind her as he pulled back, his laugh nervous and stammering. Two decades. He hadn't been with a woman in two decades.

Her handpaws reached up, cupping his face as her yellow eyes locked onto his. He was afraid he wouldn’t be good enough, after crossing time and space. Heat surged beneath her gray fur, her nose twitching as she caught his scent—fear and desire, and those pheromones thick between them. This was happening.

"You came across worlds for me," she whispered. He was terrified, ashamed. Her claws traced along his jaw, her voice steady. "You're already good enough."
