Chapter 7
The Striking truth
Alex learns that his true ability to teleport and it gets stronger each time someone mentions, The Jupecian!
Alex had finally started to get a handle on things. The ‘jupecian’ effect, as he’d reluctantly come to call it, was still a wild card, a cosmic joker in the deck of his life, but he was no longer completely at its mercy. The woman paused, blinked, then resumed her negotiation, albeit with a slightly furrowed brow. Progress.
Then, it happened. A small child, no older than five, toddled past, a brightly colored balloon trailing behind him. He tripped, not hard, but enough to send him to his knees. The balloon, a garish green, escaped his grasp and floated upwards. As it drifted towards the canvas awning of a nearby stall, the child wailed. His mother rushed to his side.
