Chapter 7
Colors Bloom Anew
Eliot begins to actively participate in life, his perspective shifting. He finds joy in simple things, a testament to Ivy's influence and the power of their bond.
The world, for Eliot, had been a muted canvas for so long. Shades of grey, tinged with the deeper, heavier hues of despair, had been his constant companions. But lately, something was shifting. Now, he watched, a quiet fascination blooming within him.
One afternoon, as he walked home from school, his usual route felt different. He’d been lost in his thoughts, the familiar hum of anxiety a low thrum in his chest. Then, a burst of laughter, bright and clear as a bell, cut through the air. It was Ivy. She was sitting on the low garden wall outside Mrs. Gable’s house, her head tilted back, a wide smile gracing her lips. Leo, a whirlwind of energy with bright, curious eyes, was showing her something he held cupped in his hands.
