The air in the grove hummed, not with the gentle buzz of bees or the rustle of leaves, but with something deeper, a resonant thrum that vibrated in Elara’s bones. It felt like the earth itself was breathing, a slow, steady inhale and exhale of ancient power. Sunlight dappled through the impossibly tall, moss-draped trees, casting shifting patterns on the forest floor. This was no ordinary place. Lumina, her small white form a stark contrast against the emerald moss, twitched her nose, her pink eyes wide and scanning their surroundings with an intensity Elara had never seen before.
“Lumina,” Elara whispered, her voice barely more than a breath. “Where are we?”
The rabbit didn't answer, not in words, but in a series of soft thumps against Elara’s leg. It was a familiar gesture, a nudge that usually meant ‘follow me.’ Elara trusted Lumina implicitly, especially now. The Shadow Syndicate’s pursuit had been relentless, their greed a palpable darkness that had forced Elara from the only home she’d ever known. Her garden, once a sanctuary, had become a battleground, and the luminous flower, the very heart of its magic, had been threatened.
