Three days passed in a blur of preparation and anxious waiting. Aris barely slept, spending every waking moment on the platform with Lena, reinforcing the systems and studying the recordings of the storm-child's visit. The suit's AI analyzed every detail, its voice growing more nuanced with each passing hour.
"Dr. Thorne, I have detected a pattern in the elder's energy signature that correlates with specific atmospheric pressure changes," the AI said on the third morning. "If my calculations are correct, the elder will arrive within the next hour."
Aris looked up from the control panel, his eyes tired but alert. "You can predict its arrival?"
