Chapter 26
Episode 26
The air in the grand hall felt lighter, cleaner, as if a long-held breath had finally been exhaled. Eleanor stood at the foot of the staircase, the ornate banister cool beneath her fingertips. The house had shared its secrets, its sorrows, and its joys, and in doing so, it had given her a gift far greater than any inheritance: the understanding that every life, no matter how fleeting, leaves an indelible mark.
