Chapter 27

Episode 27

The spectral lab dogs of the old Sacred Heart Nursing School

3 min read

The old Sacred Heart Nursing School, a place once dedicated to fostering life and healing, held its own peculiar brand of spectral residents. Then came the distinct feeling of something brushing against my leg. It was a light, feathery touch, like fur grazing skin, and it was accompanied by a low, rumbling growl that vibrated not through the air, but through the very floor beneath me. I yelped, stumbling back, my eyes darting around the empty room. The panting stopped abruptly. The growl ceased. A profound silence descended, heavier and more unnerving than the sounds themselves.
