Chapter 12

Chapter 13: The Thread Between

Kathleen, David, Dianne, Kaelen, and Elara gather at the cabin to discuss the seal's stability. Kathleen wrestles with her renewed trust in David as the group learns the fissure's silence is spreading, and Yoshua's transformation has slowed but not stopped the decay. Elara reveals a hidden cost to David's choice, and the chapter ends with Kathleen volunteering to return to the grove with David to help anchor him, knowing the weave may demand more than they have given.
