Chapter 3
Chapter 3: Unexpected Love
The principal's office was exactly as boring as I'd expected.
I sat in the chair opposite his desk, trying my best to look innocent while Nidal sat beside me.
The principal adjusted his glasses and looked between us.
“Would either of you like to explain what happened to the event poster?”
I glanced at Nidal.
He glanced at me.
I decided silence was probably the safest option.
“Well?” the principal asked.
“I think it looks more interesting now,” I replied.
Nidal covered his mouth, clearly trying not to laugh.
The principal sighed.
“Blossom, this is a university, not your personal comedy show.”
“Understood.”
“And Nidal, I hope you understand that being present doesn't mean you should encourage this behaviour.”
Nidal straightened in his chair.
“I did try to stop her.”
I turned towards him.
“Wow. Betrayal.”
“I'm being honest!”
The principal rubbed his forehead.
“Both of you are dismissed. And please don't make any more changes to university property.”
We stood up.
“Of course,” I replied sweetly.
Once we were outside, Nidal turned towards me.
“Don't.”
I blinked. “I haven't said anything.”
“You're about to.”
I smiled.
“You're getting to know me.”
“Unfortunately.”
I laughed and walked ahead of him.
By lunchtime, I'd almost forgotten about the whole incident.
Almost.
I was sitting with Nidal in the cafeteria when he started telling me about how he'd apparently had a perfectly peaceful university morning before meeting me.
I found that hilarious.
“You're exaggerating.”
“Am I?”
“Definitely.”
He leaned back in his chair.
“I'm just saying, my life was easier before you arrived.”
I looked at him for a moment.
“Do you actually want me to leave?”
His expression changed slightly.
“No.”
That answer caught me off guard.
I quickly looked down at my drink, pretending it hadn't affected me.
A few moments later, I stood up.
“Come with me.”
“Where?”
“Just come.”
He raised an eyebrow but followed me.
I led him down the corridor towards the quieter washroom area. Once we were inside, I turned to face him.
He looked around, then back at me.
“Blossom, what are we doing here?”
I folded my arms.
“Having a conversation.”
“In the bathroom?”
“Do you have a problem with that?”
He laughed.
“You're actually impossible.”
I stepped a little closer.
“You say that a lot.”
“Because it's true.”
For a moment, neither of us spoke.
I suddenly became very aware of how close he was standing.
His usual cheeky expression softened.
“What's going on?” he asked.
I hesitated.
I wasn't usually the sort of person who got nervous around someone. But Nidal had somehow managed to make me forget half the things I wanted to say.
So I decided to stop overthinking.
“Can I kiss you?”
His eyebrows lifted slightly.
For once, he didn't have an immediate comeback.
Then he smiled.
“I was wondering when you'd ask.”
I laughed quietly before leaning towards him.
He met me halfway, and our lips touched in a gentle kiss. It lasted only a few moments, but when we pulled apart, I couldn't stop smiling.
Nidal looked at me.
“So that's why you brought me here?”
“Maybe.”
“Interesting.”
“Don't get too excited.”
He grinned.
“Too late.”
I rolled my eyes, although I was still smiling.
I looked at him he was too attractive I pushed my waist to his and kissed him passionately my hand roaming his abs.
"Mmmmmm" I said, buckling my hips.
I wrapped my tongue with his.
"You're so sexy."
"Call me Daddy then."
"Okay Daddy."
Just then, footsteps sounded in the corridor.
We both looked towards the door.
“Someone's coming,” I whispered.
Nidal stepped back, and I quickly fixed my bag strap.
The footsteps passed without anyone entering.
I looked at him again.
“Well, that was close.”
He laughed.
“You really don't know how to have a normal day, do you?”
I shrugged.
“Normal is boring.”
He shook his head, smiling.
We eventually left separately, heading back towards the cafeteria.
But as I walked down the corridor, I couldn't stop thinking about what had just happened.
I'd met Nidal only recently.
He was irritating, ridiculously confident and far too good at making me smile.
And now we'd kissed.
Something told me things were about to get complicated.
