Chapter 6
Winged Woes and Wardrobe Woes
Williyar tries to integrate his wings into his daily wardrobe, leading to hilarious sartorial disasters. He can't decide how to wear them, resulting in awkward and comical outfits.
Williyar stared at the magnificent, albeit troublesome, appendages sprouting from his back. They were a constant, feathered presence, a symphony of downy fluff and surprisingly strong quills. The initial shock of receiving them from the Quirky Inventor had long since subsided, replaced by a more pressing, and frankly, more embarrassing, concern: how on earth was he supposed to wear clothes with *these*?
His wardrobe, once a meticulously organized, if somewhat drab, collection of sensible shirts and trousers, now felt like a battlefield. Each morning was a fresh skirmish. He’d tried everything. Button-down shirts were a nightmare. The fabric strained and tore at the seams, the buttons popping off like tiny champagne corks whenever he attempted even the slightest movement. It was like trying to dress a particularly flamboyant, over-enthusiastic pigeon.
This morning, he’d opted for a loose-fitting, oversized sweater. The hope was that the generous drape would camouflage the aerial additions. He’d painstakingly smoothed the feathers, coaxed them into a semblance of order, and then, with a sigh of relief, pulled the sweater over his head. He’d even managed to get his arms through the sleeves without incident. Victory seemed within reach.
