Chapter 20
Solo Flights, Shared Skies
Williyar, now a confident flyer, enjoys solo flights. He occasionally flies with his former rival, their funny fights transformed into a testament to friendship and shared adventure.
The late afternoon sun, a molten gold spilling over the horizon, painted the sky in hues of rose and lavender. Williyar, no longer the gangly, uncertain figure who’d once stumbled through his own backyard, soared through this painted canvas with a grace that still surprised him. Now, he reveled in the open sky, a solitary dancer against the vast expanse.
As he neared the edge of town, a familiar, booming laugh echoed from below. Williyar chuckled. He knew that laugh. He descended slowly, spiraling down towards the sprawling park where the sound originated. There, beneath the shade of a grand old oak, stood a figure as boisterous and full of life as the rival he’d once dreaded: his former adversary, the flamboyant flyer, Jax.
