Amelia, perched on the edge of a desk, nodded, her eyes scanning a thick binder filled with scanned court documents. “And Thorne’s lawyer, a Mr. Silas Croft, is now a prominent defense attorney. He’s got a clean record, but he was deeply invested in Thorne’s defense. He’s still practicing.”
