The air itself seemed to hum with a new, gentle energy. It wasn’t the harsh, buzzing thrum of the Warden’s control that the Second Lander had grown accustomed to, but something softer, like the murmur of a contented breeze through leaves. A patch of grey, forgotten concrete near the place where Elara had first shown the Lander the stubborn little wildflowers now shimmered with a faint, pearlescent sheen. The usual weary frowns on the faces of the inhabitants passing by seemed to soften, just for a fleeting moment, replaced by a flicker of surprise, a hint of curiosity.

And she was right. The muted greys and browns seemed to be infused with faint undertones of blues and greens, like a watercolour painting still wet, where colours bled into one another. It was subtle, so subtle that many might not have noticed, but the Second Lander, with their unique perception, saw the shift as clearly as a sunbeam breaking through clouds. It was as if the planet itself was sighing in relief, a long, held breath finally released.
