Girl meets girl pt.2

The air in Zoid’s apartment hummed with a comfortable, lived-in warmth. Sunlight, filtered through the slightly smudged windowpanes, dusted the worn rug with gold. Luke was sprawled on the sofa, a book open but unread on his chest, his emerald eyes tracking Zoid’s movements as they flitted around the kitchen, preparing their usual afternoon tea. The dog, a furry whirlwind named Comet, was curled at his feet, occasionally letting out a soft sigh.

Zoid hummed a tuneless melody, their blue hair a vibrant splash against the muted tones of the kitchen. They were just about to call Luke over for his favorite Earl Grey when their phone buzzed. A quick glance at the screen brought a surprised smile to their lips. Star.

“Hey!” Zoid chirped, their voice a little too loud in the quiet apartment. Luke’s head tilted, his gaze questioning. “It’s Star. Remember, the girl I met at the park yesterday? She’s heading this way. Said she was in the neighborhood.”
