The Mystery of the Missing Keys
Back at their lodging, they discover the car keys are missing. Russo, ever the explorer, investigates and finds them in an unlikely, high-up spot, requiring his signature climb.
The cozy cabin, smelling faintly of pine needles and yesterday’s campfire, was a welcome sight after a long day of hiking. Amy Kathryn and Rex, their muscles pleasantly tired, kicked off their boots by the door. Baby Blue Bears gave a happy little "woof" and trotted over to his favorite worn rug, already dreaming of chasing squirrels. Russo, however, was not ready to settle down. His tiny legs were practically vibrating with the need for more adventure, more climbing, more… something!
"Alright, little guy," Amy Kathryn said, stretching. "Time to relax. We'll have a good dinner and then maybe a little story before bed."
Rex was already rummaging in the small cooler. "I think I have some leftover jerky. And maybe a rogue pretzel."
