A sudden storm forces them to seek shelter. Russo, seeing a safe nook high up in a sturdy tree, climbs with ease, showing everyone the way to safety. His 'goat' skills are literal.

The sky, which had been a cheerful, forget-me-not blue just moments before, began to brood. Dark, bruised clouds rumbled in from the west, their bellies heavy with unshed rain. Amy Kathryn, Rex, and Baby Blue Bears, who had been enjoying a leisurely stroll through the whispering woods, exchanged worried glances. The air grew thick and humid, smelling of damp earth and something electric, like a thousand tiny sparks waiting to jolt.

"Oh dear," Amy Kathryn murmured, pulling her cardigan tighter. "This doesn't look good."

Baby Blue Bears, who had been sniffing valiantly at a particularly interesting patch of moss, lifted his head, his long ears perked with a hint of unease. Even the birds seemed to have fallen silent, their usual cheerful chirping replaced by a nervous rustling in the leaves.
