The very earth beneath Terra’s talons hummed with a disquiet that had nothing to do with the usual seismic shifts of Xylos. It was a tremor of the soul, a deep, resonant ache that vibrated through the ancient roots of the Whispering Woods and up into the very core of their being. Terra, leader of the Emerald Green dragons, felt it as acutely as a physical wound. The planet was suffering, and with every beat of her heart, Terra felt that suffering echo within her own.

She knelt, her emerald scales shimmering under the filtered sunlight that dappled through the canopy. Her hands, strong and calloused, pressed against the mossy ground. It was more than just a feeling; it was a symphony of distress. The saplings, usually vibrant and reaching for the sky, seemed to droop, their leaves tinged with a subtle, sickly yellow. The ancient trees, guardians of millennia, groaned with a weariness that spoke of an unseen burden. Terra closed her eyes, drawing in a deep, calming breath. She focused, pushing past the immediate cacophony of the planet’s pain, seeking the deeper currents, the hidden sources of this growing imbalance.

A faint whisper, like the rustling of dry leaves, brushed against her consciousness. It spoke of disruption, of chaos rippling through the cosmic tapestry that cradled Xylos. It was the same unsettling whisper that had begun to plague Ignis of the Ruby Reds and Aqua of the Sapphire Blues, though their expressions of it were vastly different. Ignis, Terra knew, would be roaring defiance, his fiery temper already fanned by the slightest hint of threat. Aqua, ever the pragmatist, would be observing, analyzing, her calm exterior likely masking a growing unease. But Terra’s connection was more primal, more visceral. She *felt* Xylos’s pain.
