Aria and Jae-won are caught by Crown Prince Kang Min-hyuk in the sealed archives. Min-hyuk offers Aria a dangerous alliance, revealing he knows about Leo's investigation and the northern border incident. As tensions escalate, Prince Kim Jae-won intervenes, creating a rift between the two princes and forcing Aria to choose sides.
The silence stretched like a wire about to snap. Aria's hand tightened around Leo's journal, the leather warm and familiar against her fingers. Jae-won stood frozen beside her, the satchel of papers clutched to his chest. Crown Prince Kang Min-hyuk filled the doorway, his presence sucking the air from the room.
"Impressive," he said, his voice flat. "I knew you were reckless, Miss Chen. But breaking into royal archives with a counterfeit key? That takes a special kind of stupidity."
"She didn't break in alone," Jae-won stepped forward. "I brought her here."
