Aria and her allies race through the palace with the evidence, but the Emperor's guards close in. Min-hyuk leads them through hidden passages, and a moment of romantic tension between him and Aria is interrupted by a confrontation with Jae-won. They escape to the roof, only to find themselves surrounded, with no way out.
They ran.
The folder pressed against Aria's chest like a second heartbeat. Her lungs burned, her legs screamed, but she didn't stop. Min-hyuk's hand was in hers, pulling her forward, his grip warm and steady.
Behind them, the Emperor's voice echoed through the corridors. "Seal the palace! No one leaves!"
