The air in Master Eldrin’s study hung thick with the scent of aged parchment and dried herbs, a comforting, familiar aroma that usually settled Nevera’s restless spirit. Today, however, it did little to quell the storm brewing within her. The revelation of her nascent powers, the unsettling whispers of a prophecy that seemed to weave itself into the very fabric of her existence, and the gnawing suspicion that her father, the King, was more than he appeared, had left her reeling.

Master Eldrin, his eyes, usually twinkling with gentle amusement, now held a gravity that mirrored her own disquiet. He sat behind his cluttered desk, his gnarled fingers tracing the faded script of an ancient tome. Nevera watched him, her own hands clasped tightly in her lap, her gaze fixed on the intricate patterns of the rug beneath her feet.

“The elements, Princess,” Eldrin began, his voice a low rumble, like distant thunder. “They are not merely forces to be wielded, but extensions of the world’s very soul. And within you, a unique resonance has begun to stir.”
