The air in the chamber was thick with an ancient stillness, a silence that hummed with latent power. It was a silence I’d never imagined existing, not even in the deepest, forgotten corners of the 90-storey mansion. Stone walls, carved with symbols that seemed to shift and writhe at the edge of my vision, rose impossibly high, disappearing into a darkness that swallowed the light from my meager torch. My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drummer heralding my arrival. This was it. The culmination of my grandmother’s dying wish, of Zoe’s unwavering belief, of every sneer and every sweat-soaked training session. This was the chamber of the Sword of Rana.

My boots crunched on a fine layer of dust that had settled undisturbed for centuries, perhaps millennia. Each step echoed, a solitary sound in the vastness, a testament to how few had ever reached this sacred, or perhaps cursed, place. The hilt was crafted from a dark, gleaming metal I didn't recognize, inlaid with what looked like constellations made of pure starlight. The blade, even within its scabbard, pulsed with a faint, golden luminescence. It felt alive, a slumbering titan waiting for its master.
