The air tasted like ozone and regret. My lungs burned, not from exertion, but from the sheer wrongness of it all. Every breath was a betrayal of the familiar atmospheric composition of my own world. Earth. My Earth. Where was it? The last thing I remembered was the jarring lurch, the sickening twist of reality folding in on itself like cheap origami. Then… this. A sky the color of bruised plums, alien flora that pulsed with an unsettling bioluminescence, and a silence that screamed louder than any alarm.

My powers, usually a symphony of controlled energy humming beneath my skin, were a discordant mess. Flickers of light sputtered at my fingertips, unstable and wild. I tried to freeze time, a simple reflex, a comforting anchor in chaos. Nothing. A faint tremor ran through the fabric of existence, a ghost of an attempt, but the world kept its relentless, agonizing march forward. Panic, cold and sharp, began to claw at my throat. It was a familiar sensation, one I usually drowned out with action, with the righteous fury that fueled my every move. But here, the fury felt like a trapped animal, thrashing against the bars of my control, only to find them made of something far more resilient than I anticipated.

"What the heck, where am I?" The words ripped from my throat, raw and desperate. I needed to know. I needed a point of reference, a familiar star in this terrifying, uncharted void. I tried again, focusing every ounce of my will, every fiber of my being, on the singular command: *Stop*.
