The air in the chamber of the Ninth Gate thrummed, not with the gentle hum of restored order, but with a discordant, anxious vibration. Purlis stood at the precipice, the artifact from the heart of time pulsing in his hand, a beacon against the encroaching gloom. Elara, her face etched with a weariness that belied her youth, stood beside him, her gaze fixed on the swirling shadows that coalesced before them. The final gate, the Ninth, had been secured, its essence soothed, but the source of the unraveling, the Shadow Weaver, remained.

A form began to take shape, not the amorphous darkness they had fought through, but something more defined, more terrible. It was a figure draped in robes the color of a starless night, its silhouette sharp and angular against the ethereal glow of the gate. A hood obscured its face, yet Purlis felt an intense, piercing gaze upon him, a gaze that seemed to dissect his very soul. This was it. The weaver of chaos, the architect of temporal fractures.

"So," a voice echoed, a sound like dry leaves skittering across cold stone, devoid of warmth or emotion. "The child has played his part. The gates are mended, for now."
