The air in Oakhaven was thick with anticipation, a heady mix of cinnamon, roasting nuts, and the fainter, yet persistent, undercurrent of Barnaby and Cecil’s escalating “stink-off.” The town square had been transformed for the inaugural Great Aroma Festival, a vibrant tapestry of stalls draped in colorful banners, the cheerful din of a brass band, and the excited chatter of townsfolk eager to sample the myriad of scents on display.
