The air outside the cave was cool and carried the scent of damp earth and pine needles. It felt different now, as if the very breath of the forest had shifted, deepened. We stood blinking in the dappled sunlight, the glowing stone cradled carefully in Mama’s paws. Its soft, pulsing light seemed to echo the quiet thrumming I’d felt deep within the earth, a heartbeat that now resonated in the air around us.

"It's… beautiful," Deividas whispered, his voice barely audible, his gaze fixed on the stone. He’d been quiet for a while, ever since we’d left the shimmering depths of the cave. The initial excitement had given way to a thoughtful stillness, a sort of awe that settled over him like a soft blanket. His usual twitching nose seemed to have stilled, his sharp eyes wide with wonder.

Mama smiled, a gentle crinkling around her eyes. "It is, my little ones. A treasure, indeed, though perhaps not the kind one buries in the ground." She held the stone out, letting its light play across our faces. It cast a warm, ethereal glow, making the green of the leaves seem richer, the moss on the trees more vibrant. I could feel a wave of contentment wash over me, a feeling of belonging that was deeper than just being in my home forest. It felt like being part of something larger, something ancient and alive.
