Chapter 5: The First Prowler
Mr. Henderson reveals he is the original Prowler and the Overlord's brother. He takes Jaxson to a hidden training ground and explains the history of Pyre Corp and the Phoenix Spire. After an intense training session, Jaxson learns to merge his telekinesis with his emotions, unlocking a new level of power. They prepare for the final confrontation on Alcatraz, but the Overlord's spies force them to move quickly.
The fog clung to the rooftops of San Francisco like a shroud, muffling the sounds of the city below. Jaxson stood frozen, staring at the scar on Mr. Henderson’s chest—a ring of fire, identical to the emblem that haunted his nightmares.
“Your brother?” Jaxson’s voice cracked. “The Overlord is your brother?”
Mr. Henderson—if that was even his real name—lowered his coat, his eyes holding a depth of sorrow that made Jaxson’s chest ache. “His name is Marcus. We were both born into a legacy we didn’t choose. Pyre Corp created us, Jaxson. We were the first successful experiments—the original Prowlers. But Marcus craved power above all else. He turned our father’s research into a weapon, and when I tried to stop him, he left me for dead.”
