The months slipped by like pages in a book you don't want to end. Each day was a quiet marvel, a small miracle of routine and wonder. Dale measured time in the gradual curve of Skye's belly, in the way her walk became a gentle waddle, in the soft flutters that grew into firm kicks against his palm.
