Success, once a distant star, now shone with a steady, warm light, illuminating the path I had walked. But as I stood in this new landscape, a realization dawned, deeper and more profound than mere personal triumph. My story, the story of a girl who simply refused to let her circumstances dim her spirit, had begun to ripple outwards, touching other lives.

It started subtly. A younger cousin, whose eyes, once filled with the same flicker of apprehension I had known, now held a spark of hopeful ambition. She’d often linger near me, her questions a gentle echo of my own past anxieties. “Auntie Priscilla,” she’d ask, her voice soft as a butterfly’s wing, “how did you do it? How did you make your dreams come true when there was so much to do at home?”

I would smile, the memory of those heavy days still fresh, and pull her close. “It wasn’t magic, little one,” I’d say, my hand stroking her hair. “It was just… doing. Doing the chores, doing the studies, doing the best I could with each moment. And never, ever letting the worry win.”
