James offers to buy Tessa her next round of rum, and tells her that she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. But James doesn't try to pursue Tessa, doesn't even ask for her number. But the next weekend at the bar, Tessa decides to talk to James again. And James actually listens. Tessa and James are launched into a whirlwind romance, where James proves that he's not like the men from her past. And Tessa finally begins to let her guard down. James takes Tessa on exotic trips, teaches her different languages, and buys her expensive things. When one of Tessa's abusive exes tries to intervene in their beautiful romance, James stands his ground, and proves that he loves Tessa with all of his heart.
