Chapter 12: The Second Tube
Bruce and Harry, guided by Pete, manage to open Danny's stasis tube and free him. As Danny awakens, they discover Alfie's tube nearby, but freeing him triggers a security system that alerts the Spider-machine. A tense escape through the depot ensues, and they barely make it out with both Alfie and Danny freed, though the backup core remains active.

The cold of the glass seeped through Bruce's fingers as he pressed against the tube. Danny floated inside, motionless, his face peaceful in a way that made Bruce's chest ache. He'd spent so long trying to save his friends, and now here they were—both of them—suspended in liquid like museum exhibits. But this wasn't a museum. This was a tomb that breathed.
