Chapter 10: The Mechanic's Secret
Bruce leads Harry to his old friend Pete, a factory mechanic, hoping to find a way to permanently stop the animatronics. Pete reveals a dark secret about the factory's core and the true nature of the Ringmaster, forcing Bruce to confront a harsh truth about the survivors.
The night air was thick with the smell of smoke and damp concrete as Bruce and Harry moved through the back alleys of the town. Streetlights buzzed overhead, casting pools of sickly yellow light that seemed to flicker with every gust of wind. Bruce kept his hand pressed to his side, the wound from the factory still throbbing, but he pushed on, his jaw set.
“Where exactly are we going?” Harry asked, his voice low and breathless. He kept glancing over his shoulder, as if expecting something to emerge from the shadows.
“Pete’s place,” Bruce grunted. “Old repair shop on the edge of town. He’s the only one who might know how to shut this down for good.”
