The air in the sketchbook world, usually buzzing with the vibrant hues of creation, felt heavy, tinged with a hushed unease. Ren sat cross-legged on a patch of sketched grass, their fingers tracing the worn edges of the well-loved sketchbook. Beside them, Coco, her usually bright eyes clouded with a flicker of apprehension, watched Bobo. Bobo, perched on a smooth, grey stone that Ren had rendered with particular care, seemed to absorb the very essence of quiet contemplation. If we wait too long, there might not be anything left to understand.” Her words, though earnest, held a hint of the impulsiveness that often characterized her. She was a writer, her mind quick to weave narratives, and the idea of inaction, of observing instead of doing, felt alien to her nature.
