Chapter 11
Serina's Boundless Energy
Young Serina, full of youthful exuberance, prepares for the competition. Her natural energy and playful spirit present an unexpected challenge, a pure joy Mark now sees as an obstacle.
The air crackled with an energy that had nothing to do with the impending competition and everything to do with the sheer, unadulterated joy radiating from Serina. “Come on, little birdy!” Serina chirped, her voice a melody of delight. The robin, clearly outmatched in this particular game, fluttered upwards, perching on a low-hanging branch. Serina, undeterred, simply bounced on the balls of her feet, her eyes sparkling with playful challenge. “You’re too fast for me today! But I’ll get you tomorrow!”
