Chapter 4
Roxzie's Grounding
Roxzie, ever the pragmatist, tries to pull Cyenrhi from her anxieties. She offers a comforting presence, but even her solid ground feels a little shaky. She notices the subtle dance between Cyenrhi and Jhrean, a silent observer of their unspoken emotions.
Roxzie found Cyenrhi perched on the edge of her dorm room bed, a familiar posture of quiet contemplation. Cyenrhi blinked, her eyes slowly refocusing on the room, on Roxzie. A faint smile touched her lips, but it didn't quite reach her eyes. “Just… thinking, Rox.” Her voice was soft, a murmur against the hum of the afternoon. “About everything. About… us.”
