The air in Loreanzce’s room hung thick with the scent of charcoal and linseed oil, a familiar perfume that did little to dispel the unspoken tension that had settled over the four friends. Outside, the June sun, a molten gold disc, beat down on the school grounds, but inside, a different kind of light was beginning to dawn, one that flickered and wavered like a faulty bulb. Loreanzce, usually a creature of quiet observation, held his worn sketchbook open, its pages a testament to countless hours spent translating the world through his artistic lens. Today, however, the art wasn't just an expression; it was a confession, a desperate plea for understanding.

"I… I’ve been drawing them," he began, his voice barely a whisper, as if the words themselves might shatter the delicate tapestry of their shared unease. But woven among them were new sketches, sharper, more defined, tinged with an urgency that made Cyenrhi’s breath catch in her throat.

Jhrean leaned closer, his usual playful glint absent, replaced by a focused intensity. He traced a line with his finger, a jagged path that seemed to bisect a drawing of a looming storm cloud. "These aren't just dreams, are they, Loreanzce?" he asked, his voice low and resonant. "These are… possibilities."
