Chapter 6
Chapter 6: The Base Case
Mikaldas grapples with the revelation of his father's existence and death in the fire. With Astro's help, he writes a final recursive function to process his grief, forgive himself, and honor his father's legacy. The chapter ends with him completing his memoir and finding closure.

Mikaldas couldn’t speak. The recursion had unwound to a depth he hadn’t expected. The base case wasn’t just forgiveness—it was a person. A stranger who taught recursion. A ghost he’d never mourned because he’d never known.
