Friendship's True Worth
They realize their friendship is their greatest treasure. The storm was difficult, but it showed them how much they mean to each other and their worth.
The wind whispered through the tall grasses, a gentle sigh now that the storm had calmed its fury. Lily, perched on the sturdy leaf of a newly sprouted fern, watched as the last of the grey clouds drifted away, revealing a sky so brilliantly blue it made her wings tingle. Beside her, Tom the turtle blinked slowly, his wise old eyes taking in the softened landscape. Their new home, a cozy nook under a large, smooth stone, was still a work in progress, but it was theirs.
“It’s so quiet now,” Lily murmured, her voice a tiny hum. She tucked a stray antenna back into place. “Almost too quiet after all that noise.”
Tom nudged a small pebble with his nose. “The quiet feels good, Lily. It means we’re safe. And we’re together.” He looked at her, his expression earnest. “That’s what matters most.”
